The Retreat Activities

We want you to get as much value out of the CLiC Retreat as possible. The retreat program has been meticulously created to take you on a journey of self-reflection, healing and pampering yourself towards a more balanced life. During the retreat we encourage you to attend as many of the activities as possible to receive the most benefits, however none of the activities are compulsory. The retreat is your quality time with yourself and it’s up to you how many of the retreat activities you would like to participate in. All the activities are included and will be led by one or more of our retreat leaders. Here’s a bit more about what to expect on the retreat.

Yoga and Meditation

There will be twice daily yoga and meditation sessions. We want to emphasize that the yoga is for all levels of experience from first timers to avid yogis. Our yoga philosophy is that everyone can participate and benefit from the positive effects of this ancient practice. You are where you are in your yoga practice and we want to make it accessible for all.

In the mornings we practice a more energizing Vinyasa, with variety such as Aqua Yoga. In the late afternoons we wind down the day with a more restorative style of yoga, Yin Yoga. The mediation sessions are also made for varying skill levels, presenting techniques to incorporate this vital practice into your everyday life.

We will focus on repairing our past, changing our thought patterns and visualising a bright future.

Silent Day and Introspective Activities

During the retreat we will encourage introspective thinking; this means examining your conscious thoughts and feelings. In psychology, the process of introspective thinking relates to observing your mental state, while in a spiritual context it can refer to the examination of your soul. Along with our daily meditations and hypnotherapy, we will be taking it a step further with life changing challenges.

Have you ever been silent for a day? A Day of Silence, without reading or digital distractions, is easier than it sounds and very rewarding. In the past participants have said this was their favourite activity due to the profound effect it had on them. Being silent allows you to be with your thoughts, listen to them and then let them go, so it is easier to connect with the real you.

If you would like to take on the challenge of fasting for one day, we will explore the transcendent affect that it has. Most people report it is also a very enlightening experience. We will build up to it so it is easier than it sounds and explore the physical and emotional feelings that it brings up.

We also encourage journalling and will give you tools to make this practice effective for both recording these experiences and tapping into your deeper subconscious.

Hypnotherapy & Self- Development Workshops

Hypnosis is often associated with theatrical stage shows, but it is not at all supernatural and is a perfectly natural state of mind that we all go into hundreds of times every day. We use hypnotherapy in our program as it is a tool that help us unlock our subconscious and retrains thought patterns.  We will conduct group hypnosis sessions in the evening, overcoming the limiting belief associated for the day. We will also record our own hypnotherapy tracks to repeat when needed after the retreat is over.

We will also have a creative sessions tying is into a mindful experience that even non-creatives will produce masterpieces and look at our thought patterns in workshops created by a qualified Life Coach with Psychology degree.

Our workshops also focus on habituation – forming habits to train our subconscious. Setting morning rituals and healthy daily habits that will transform our lives after the Retreat.

Charity Work at a Local Balinese School

Getting close to the people and culture of places you visit is important, making a positive difference to the people that live there is even better.  We will visit a local school to take much needed supplies and organise as a group games to play with them. It is always very well received and brings a lot of joy to the children. Donations such as clothing, medical supplies, art supplies, school supplies, and children’s toys will be greatly appreciated. You can bring items from home to gift to the children or donate small amounts that make a big difference to their lives.

As the local culture is important, we also have local performances at our welcome dinner and traditional Balinese ceremonies. The letting go ceremony is an ancient Balinese practice and very rewarding in our lives.

Discover Bali

Mindful Eating &

Organic Farm Visit

Floating Leaf has an organic farm next door and they use the food it produces in their delicious, healthy menu. Visiting the farm to speak with the farmer how it is grown and picking your own dinner will be the beginning of our mindful eating journey. Knowing where your food comes from and seeing how it effects your body and energy is part of conscious living. Discovering what feels right for you physically, energetically and morally is a process as everyone is different.

Being aware when you have choices to make and training yourself to make the right ones will be a big step in our healing process. We will explore seeing food in a different way by using mindfulness techniques to really master the art of eating. You will taste and appreciate food that will change your relationship to food forever.

Relax & Rejuvenate

One of the reasons why we chose the Floating Leaf as the venue for this CLiC Retreat is because of its luxury facilities which promise a relaxing and rejuvenating stay. Every day on the retreat we encourage you to do an activity which helps you unwind and relax whether that’s taking a restful bath, spending time in the chromatherapy pool or hydro-pool or enjoy a complimentary massage of your choice at the 5-star Balinese spa. We want to highlight how it is OK and important to pamper yourself and disconnect in this fast-paced, sometimes overwhelming digitally driven world we live in.

Our wish is that you reconnect with yourself by disconnecting with the outside world.

Spend Time in Nature

There’s a reason we have chosen Bali as the location for the retreat. Spending time in nature is good for our mind, body and soul. During the retreat there will be several outdoor activities, giving you the time to soak up the serenity of Bali’s green rice paddies, beautiful beaches that have a backdrop of a dramatic volcano. We will really get to know nature with a mindfulness walk, blind yoga in nature and time at the beach.

We will do a sunrise meditation where we watch the sun come up over the beach and send beautiful coloured rays of light out to energise us. Bali is infamous for its healing energy and serene nature – you will see why when we spend time in its nature.
